Swelling profiles and sealants have been used worldwide for more than 20 years. Such hydrophilic materials are very economical and effective for the waterproofing system of fixed joints. SikaSwell swelling materials are easily installed in the seam or around communications passing through concrete using Sika adhesives or sealants, do not depend on formwork or reinforcement.
With the help of SikaSwell materials, it is possible to perform waterproofing of:

SikaSwell – Principles of waterproofing
In contact with water profiles and sealants SikaSwell increase in volume and develop pressure acting on the surrounding concrete, which prevents the penetration of water into the seam and creates a durable waterproofing solution. Profiles SikaSwell A when swelling, due to its elasticity, cracks and cavities surrounding the seam expand and fill, which increases the reliability of waterproofing. There are also SikaSwell systems that can swell in seawater and water with a high salt content.
